I have A 480 gallon aquarium I am going to put 1 motoro ray in it I and nothing else,just the 1 to keep water quality good.
I have A wet dry filter that is 48x29 and pumps 3000 gallons A hour I have A pad on the top shelf and bio balls on the bottom shelf, below that I have about 9" open area top to bottom and 12x29 before it goes through the sponges and to the return side
Do you think I should add scrubbies below the bio balls and if so should I fill the whole 9x12x29 area with them or just fill part of it
Or in the past I have used sponge filters hooked up to A air pump on smaller tanks and I liked them so my thought was to maybe add some to the 36x29 area
So do you think I should do one of the above or neither or both
My other thought was to maybe add A canister to the return side just for A little extra filteration
