would an oscar make a good tank mate for a stingray? i kno everyfish has its own personality... but if they grew up together would they be ok or not:confused::confused::confused::confused:

I have oscars with my stingrays, but I would not recommend it. My oscars fight between them selfs and ignore the rays pretty much. But once in a while the oscar will look curiously at the ray and thinks about nipping the ray but as soon as that happens the ray will shoot to the other side of the tank. I think the biggest reason I am having success is I have a large aquarium. You can try it , its up to you. But if the oscar nips at the ray once Id get ready to re home the oscar.

Any cichlid is a gamble unless you have the mild mannered ones like pbass, snooks, discus, severum, or uara.

i have had fronts, dats, gar, arowana, tigs, lima shovelnose, silver dollars, on top of what fishdog posted

I have 2 large FH´s, a large GT, and a large pleco with my motoro with no problems.

I've had success with my cichlids being in with rays, I think a lot of it depends on size of the tank.

from my limited exp. bichirs are not good, but the ropefish i had with mine was fine till it jumped...my sens tried to bite the rays...
