stingray tankmates

We have a motoro stingray and are wanting to find some cool tank mates that wont threaten him. Anyone have any ideas?

what size are your tank and your ray ?

We have a 135 gallon tank and he is about six inches across

Tinfoil barbs? A school of them. If when you upgrade which you will have to for the ray maybe get a small 5-6" arrowana. A fish at the top and a fish are the bottom look really nice, classic combo.

A school of silver dollars would also look nice. Also, you can try discus but they pose their own set of problems.

I suggest severum, geos, arowana, datnoids, and many more on the list. You just have to see if their compatible and see their behavior.

yeah, actually here's what you avoid keeping with rays : bichirs, plecos, gars, larger catfish species, snakehead, anything too aggressive or too active. Active fish tend to stress younger rays.
