big cooler. just picked up a ray and arowana and took me about 2 hr to get back, no problems

Just go to your local lfs and ask to borrow a coulee of poly boxes.

Best thing to do is to ask the seller not to feed for 2-3 days before the trip and make sure you have some airline so you can flow small amounts of water from tank to poly box to acclimatise them when you get home.

I used brown parcel tape to seal down the lids.

I did a 4 hr trip like this from aqua mans this yr and there was zero ammonia present in the boxes when I got home and the rays ate pellets in the boxes whilst acclimatising therefore it must have been low stress.

2 hrs isn't very long. I picked ray's up from an LFS 4 hrs away.

They were just packaged in an insulated cardboard box, in a closed plastic bag. There was no air stone, or heating pack and they made it ok.

i use a cooler and a battery powered airstone, with a hole drilled in the top for the air hose to fit through

purging 48 hrs is a good idea too if the rays are in good health

i just did a rescue mission with a 21" female Motoro she is injuried pretty good on her underside i used a big rubbermaid with a heater powered by a car inverter and a air stone the trip took almost 9 hours she and her male companion did perfect on the trip!! 2 hours is minor

Just get a rubber made and a couple garbage bags, put the garbage bags inside the rubbermade and close them once the rays are in, it helps keep the splashing to a minumum. I have made numerous 6+ hour trips this way and it works fine. The battery powered airstone is a good idea as well.
