hi

some of you know that iam building a pond 7ft x 3.7ft x .3ft , the pond is on hold at the moment untill college is done in jun or july and then i will get a full time job , so i will have more money, more choies of rays , best idea i think, so my qestion how munch does a Castexi and a mantilla go for in the uk and what stingray can they be with because i want a flower or mantilla ,but i hear that flower are not good with other rays.

The pond will not be big enough to house those species for life. Nice choice of rays but will need to thick about other types

there's a very slim chance you will be able to get a mantilla here in the U.K as they where very rarely imported, for a castexi of about 12" you will be looking at about £200-£300 depending on the shop. the problem with flowers is when they come in they are pretty fragile and take a bit of time to settle in and feed well, once they are stable they will be fine with other rays. i know someone who has a couple with motoro's and pearls and they are doing good, but flowers get very big. are you planning on keeping the pond ray only?

i might keep the pond ray only , if i do tankmates i will porbaly have peacocks bass , arowana or i will build another pond for them.thanks

if your going to go with flowers, if they are newly imported then just get them to start with for a few months until they are stronger and then add anything else you are going to add and you should be fine mate.
