Stingrays at the St. Louis Zoo

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Great to hear, we live 120 miles south. The only other stingray exihibit we seen was at the Tennessee Aquarium in Chatanooga, TN. It's well worth the trip, we spent the entire day there.

Remember, St. Louis Zoo is free to the public! It will be well worth the visit if you make the trip. There are also many other attractions right in the same vacinity. I work there so perhaps I'll bump into to you.

Is this part of the same mobile stingray set up that keeps failing all over for other places?

Hmmm. Not certain. It is dubbed a temporary set up. Not mobile though.

I just recently visited the STL zoo. I live maybe 15 min. away. I saw the Tank/pond setup that was being built for them. I couldnt get close to see as it was taped off and construction was underway! It looked like a 20 x 15 by 2 feet deep pond. The outside looked like concrete or gray bricks, although I could not see the liner/inside. (I was standing maybe 30 feet away). There is also a rocky waterfall at the end of it, possibly a filter return? I think it had a pavillon over it as well.

It was close to the north side i belive, and was totally outside!

When it opens early May tell me your insights! I'm sure I'll be first in line! :stingray::hearts:
