stingrays with peacock bass

Yes.

However, there are two concerns I would have....

1) Getting enough food past the cichla to the rays

2) The cichal could do some damage to the rays when they get large. They will grow faster than the rays. This would be especially true with small rays or pups.

I have gone to the Pittsburgh aquarium several times recently and I have become very fascinated with rays. I was just wondering what it would take to keep them?

What would it take for me to start a ray tank. I currently have a 55 gallon tank with nothing in it. I was wondering if there are rays that could possibly live in tank this small or would I have to get a much larger tank.

i've got peacocks & ray in the same tank. i feed them different foods. feeder fish for peacocks & shrimps for rays. so far so good.

Yeah, the peacocks I've had always went for live food and let the worms and fw shrimp fall to the rays. You could also rig a tube to get food to the bottom past the peacocks for the rays.

55 gallon is way to small for Stingrays to grow up in. They need really wide tanks to be housed prpperly when fully grown. That is why many people build indoor ponds to house them in.
