Has anyone had sucess with these two?

It's painful for me too leave the lfs without a ray, but I keep reading common plecos will kill them and destroy their slime coating.

They would be in a 1100 gallon pond together. The plecos are 17'' and 8'':)

common plecos are not good with rays...

How about gold nugget pleco with a motoro ray baby?
is it oke? or my plecos will suck my motoro?
thank you

Everyone will give you a different story... but why try it? Some are more notorious for it than others, but there isn't one species I've heard of that are 100% safe. Depends on personality and how good you are at feeding them. It's not a problem that starts straight away, or it could be a few months or years down the line, but as soon as they realise they can do it, bye bye ray. Gold nuggets would be a poor choice, they spend all their time going through the biofilm, not to mention they don't grow much in home aquaria so would likely be a snack to a ray unless you bought a 12" one straight off...

Hypostomus and Pterygoplichthys are both poor choices.

thanks, but that is for just temporary.Beore my pleco will exchange with someone with another ray, right now my pleco in my sump tank, so my sump tank become rather dirty because the bloodworm that wasn't eat by my plecos.

their is a risk so why take it
