STINK BOMB!!!

Here's something I found out the hard way. I had a bottle of Novaaqua plus and was running out of it. I went and bought a little bottle of Aquasafe at the local market and when I got home added it to the existing bottle of Novaaqua. I mixed it up and used it on a water change. The next time I went to do a water change, I opened it up and was knocked over by the stink coming from the bottle! IT SMELLED LIKE SOMEONE SHAT AN EGG!!! The more it sat there and I would go to get it for a water change it would be worse. I had to throw it out today. So if anyone wants to make a homemade stink bomb, there you go.

Umm...Lucky you didn't add the 2 products to the tank simultaneously. Sounds like a nasty chemical reaction.

i use Kordon's amquel plus, and it smells like that.

I've noticed that when I mix stress coat to my water, it has a faint smell like that for awhile. It was pritty funny the first few times, because I didn't know where the odor was coming from.

that could have been real bad. i just use prime

I did that once... i had a 75 gallon, i had to cleanse the water about 3 times to get rid of the stink!
