I have 2 quick questions....How big do they get? How big of a tank do they need?

4-4/12 inches. 30 gallon rubbermaid tub.Heater, filter.And stay on the water changes.

Tubs,aquaterrariums you name them Just remenbar to give them the biggest habitat you can find. Bigger habitats produce healtier turts

anyone mind recommending me a good heater and filter for a 40-50 gallon tub

I use one of those Stealth submersible heaters in my turtle tub. 30 gallons of tank is good per turtle but like coura said, the more space the better. My two stinkpots will be moving into a spacious 100 gallon tub soon.
