For those of you who feed your smaller fish market shrimp, how do you deal with the stinky tank water? I feed my african cichlids and loaches raw market shrimp and the next two days my tank smells awful and the water clouds up. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to deal with it?

Without knowing your system (I checked your pix to no avail :(), My first answer would be your feeding to much.

Second answer would be your filtration can't keep up with the extra bio-load.

But my first suggestion would be to do your water changes right after the feeding.

Shrimp are fresh right?

I agree with Joe, after feeding remove any left over on the ground and make sure you do very good gravel vacs.

150g with 2-350 biowheels and a cascade 1500 c-filter(1050gph, turnover 7x/hr) i feed like 1-3 market shrimp at a time. they arent really big shrimp and there are never any leftovers.

might be time to upgrade the 350's... my 150 has 1 FX5 and 2 AC110's so that is about 11x/h and my 300 is gonna be about 16x/h when it is done (2x FX5 and 2x W/D pumps).

Im working on getting a used eheim pro3 but money is tight right now
