Stinrays and plecos

Best bet is to start with "NO" and go with that. I don't think anyone can list any particular species that would be 100% safe with rays. It boils down to individuals. One specimen of a particular species may live harmoniously with rays while another specimen of the same species develops a taste for ray skin slime.
Then there's the additional risk of the pleco being topped enough times by the rays that the rays start nibbling at the pleco.

I beg to differ! Start with Panaque plecos as they are vegetable eaters, driftwood eaters, etc. I have 2 big watermelon plecos L330 in my ray tanks and they are a good tank mate. I have also seen flagtails go with rays also with no problems. I would go with the royals, watermelons or something that is big in the panaques so your rays don't munch on them. Not really a fan of the flagtails.
