Male, Wild Honduran Black Jag (He's maybe 3" now)
IMG_1051.JPGIMG_1060.JPG
1- Calico Convict * likely female
1- Pearl Honduran Red Point Convict (f)
1- Black Convict (f)

3x Yoyo Loach
1 Spotted Raph Cat
1 Irwini Cat
1 Bristle-nose Pleco

I tried dithers, they've all been picked off by said Jag. Silver Dollar got smashed, and Buenos Aires Tetras became food. He just will perch up on a corner, or the drift wood, wait, wait, and then blast it. So I'm not even going to bother. Here's a more recent but kinda blurry shot of him getting used to the new tank. My only other thoughts would 1 Polypetrus be ok? I'm personally content on the # of fish. Though who doesn't love the look of a nice Poly up in-front of the glass.

my guess is JAGS GONNA kill most ANYTHING you put in there...you MIGHT get lucky with a tough little cichlid....(con maybe)or an armoured cat..

Well that's what I've got going now, 3 female cons, 2 armoured cats. He hasn't really shown any aggression or predatory signs to them so far. But like I said, the dithers were bombarded.

My 12" female preys on anything small enough to eat, but leaves my plecos and the rest of my cichlids alone. She does get moody from time to time and everyone goes to the other side of the tank which is an 8 footer. Hard to tell with large cichlids....

female jag

lol, sorry should have been clearer, get him a female... my midas have just spawned on xmas day and are free swimming today, great fun!

really nice jag btw, and def looks male to me!

Nice jag..i like what you have as is... with maybe a female jag at some point if you chose to breed...those are too good genetics not to...
