Stock for new tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Room yes if its larger then a 4ft. Possible to keep alive, very unlikely. Any other tank Mates to those aggressive fish will probably die. Those two may even kill each other. Any thing added Is a gamble but there is room for like a bottom feeder depending on the filtration. If only a 48" tank then those two will be pushing it but still room for possible bottom feeder with a 10% chance of living a week

Its only been a few days, and those fish are known to snap and just kill. plus neither are fully matured yet. You never said if the tank was 4ft or bigger? No to the arrowana they need a much bigger tank. I can't recommend any top dwelling fish because they are usually more peaceful and will not defend themselves against aggressive cichlids.

Again no to arrowana. The tank will be two small for the two to co-exist, and if they do most likely allow no one else in that footprint. If the jag is a female there is a better chance but the red devil may still be a devil. Anything you put in is a huge gamble especially in a 4ft. You picked some of the most aggressive fish out their I could recommend returning both if you want more of a community.

Wasnt aiming for a community. But ill def take the devil back. They have some 10" florida gars in the same tank as the jags at my LFS. What do u think of just the jag and gar?

Not trying to attack you but then why do you want more fish aand more tank mates for an aggressive fish? again that is a top dweller and won't defend itself if the jag decides to be aggressive. I also think gars grow to big for a 4ft tank. Again there is no recommendations for aggressive Cichlids everything is a chance. Small chance to work high to not work.

also I just read you just got the tank yesterday? The tank isn't even cycled you shouldn't have any fish In iit (especially if you care about them) nevermind having two!
