Hey, id like some help on what else i can add to my current set-up - that'll actually work out! :) just transferred my GT into a 75g tank due to him not getting alone so well with my jag

Currently I have a 180g

1 Jag 8"
1 Florida Gar 11"
7 Silver dollars 3/4"
1 Bichir 6"
1 Pleco 5" (debating of moving)

id like to add either another nice size fish or a schooling fish (Clown loaches?)

any ideas?. suggestions. Thanks!

N3ver had a jag but those loaches should be large or they will end up as snacks

good luck finding clown loaches large enough that dont fit in his mouth.
and from what ive read, gar and aggresive cichlids are a real dangerous mix. im sure if you do some googling youll find stories of gars with broken backs or beaks because their cichlid tankmate scared the crap out of them.

had them both for most of there lives and there is no tension at all between the too. im just looking to possible add to the tank. if possible

Tank stocked IMHO, male or female jag?

The answer I got to kinda the same question was,,,

I'm fine alone
My Tank is a 110 and I don't know much about Gars.

A 180 Seems big enough for room mates though.

that's a female jag. nice looking girl. female jags pretty docile until they decide to lay, and they will a male around or not, then they can own a side of the tank for a bit, but other than that they do well with larger fish.
