What can I stock with a 4" rtc in a 258 pond . What I would like is some cichlids that will be big enough not to be eatan as the rtc grows up to 2 or 3' then it will rehomed to a bigger pond. Im also thinking of a stingray also but havent figered an auto drip yet.

Generally the best cichlid fish for a red tail cat to go with is a Oscar as long as the rtc isn't to big already so a baby Oscar gets eaten but otherwise most Malawi cichlids especially won't be big enough

Cichlids wise there won't be much. Various Parachromis, the larger sp. any other large cichlids would be ok too. Not too many fish can keep up with rtc growth. You can put anything in there if you don't mind moving stuff or it disappearing.
