I am getting a 55 gallon tank. It is going to be 12.5 inches wide and 4 feet long. I have the space for it the only problem is I can't pick what fish I want to put in it.
this is driving me crazy:swear: .
Can someone please give me an idea.

^^^^ WTF?

Anyway, to answer your question, you could go with a texas, JD, cons, africans, etc.
I personally would go with a pair of severums.

Just remember that with a tank that size you are restricted to fish about six inches long if they are really active and 8-9" if they are sedentary. If you want a busy tank of not too common fish try cockatoo apistogrammas (5 females and 3 males), a group of six or seven skunk cories, 8-10 each of blue and bleeding heart tetras, and maybe some silver hatchetfish

You could go with a few Angelfish, some Golden Wonder Killis, the SA Bumblebee catfish,
thats just a few ideas. You could go and do a brackish tank with leaffish, bichirs, puffers, Bamboo Shrimp, etc.. Again it just depends on how much you wanna spend on fish and how you want the tank to look.
