Stock ideas for a 30gal

My wife is setting up a tank and wants some ideas. The dimensions are 26x16x14. She wants something "cool" lol. So run with that

I've had a 30 gal gourami tank which was pretty cool. Gouramis are great fish I love watching them check things out with their feelers

I would probably get a Hujeta Pike characin (Ctenolucius hujeta), commonly sold as Rocket Gars, Silver Gars, or Freshwater Barracudas. They don't grow to be very large (8-10inches), they're peaceful with anything too large to eat, but when it's feeding time they are very fast and fun to watch! They can also live in Brackish water so if you decided to have a brackish tank, you could have one Hujeta pike, a couple spotted, figure eight, or ceylon puffer fish, and a violet dragon goby (Very cool looking eel-like fish). The dragon goby may eventually outgrow the tank, though and need a 55 gal. Hope this information helps!

I dont think i would use a 30 gal for anything else besides a growout tank or a school of small tetras. You can look into a pair of kribs or any other dwarf cichlids. Do some research first but it does look cool when they care for their fry.

Wow, sorry I thought I posted this to MFK, Not "cute tanks R us" lol. Silver huetta would be cool though. Bucktooths too. Who has more suggestions?
