So today i picked up a 75 gallon setup for my first saltwater setup. In total for 250$ i got: a 75 gallon acrylic aquarium with sump, coralife powercompact light made by current, protein skimmer made by red sea, stand, canopy, and a good enough relationship with a worker at my lfs to get me 20% off there.

Anyway I have a few questions. I would like to do a reef setup with this stock: 3x blue reef chromis, 2x ocellaris clownfish, 1x banggai cardinalfish, 2 red firefish, and 1x randall's goby. with this being said what would you add/take away? what corals are great for beginers?

Thanks in advance.

you have a great size for a starter tank. your stocking is fine, but remember to add slowly, one or two fish a week to let the BB grow to handle the larger bio load. i would also add the clowns last. they can be a little nippy if they have claimed their territory.

as far as corals, you are really limited with your lighting system. you can do LPS or soft corals but don't forget to change the bulbs every 10-12 months.
