I finally got the okay for a bigger tank. I'm getting a 90g, regular dimensions (48’’x18’’x25’’).

I want to stock it with:
1 Oscar
1 Green Sunfish (4’’ ATM)
1 Common Pleco (6’’ ATM)
6 Silver Dollars

Too much? I'll probably re-house the Pleco once it hits 12''+ mark for obvious reasons. But if it were the Oscar, Green Sunfish and Silver Dollars would they be able to be in there for life?

Thanks,
Brian

I don't see anything wrong with that. How are you planning to cycle the new tank? I am assuming with seasoned media since your upgrading tanks :)

seems like quite a bio load for that footprint i had a oscar and a severum and 4 sd in a 75 and it was alot of maintenece and not enough foot print

He's fine the footprint is standard. Im assuming he doesn't over feed his fish and the pleco is gone soon.

Yeah, I'll be adding 2 filters and about 50 lbs of gravel from my 45g to the 90g; I highly doubt there will be a problem with cycling.

Well it's going to filtered quite well, something like 1300+ GPH (XP2, 2 AC110, 1 AC70) and I'll have 15 more gallons to work with (as opposed to your 75) and there is also the possibility of making a 20g sump for the tank depending. I'm also very diligent with water changes even more so now that the tank will be right by a window so I can just siphon water out of it

IMO your golden with that stock list as long as you dont make any radical changes your filtration is good and the fish should be fine.

Awesome, thanks for the input. I'm going to initially set it up and see what the water parameters are then maybe set a sump up later on once it's all established and I can save for a good set up. Got any good sump plans?

Not a problem
As far as sumps Not currently but I am working on designing one for my future 400+ gallon tank lately. Best way to go is the Do it yourself section they have tons of home made sumps.
