I'm just wondering if I can get anyone else's opinion on my current stock list-
Right now I have everyone in a 20 gallon as a grow out, waiting until the weather will cooperate enough for me to reseal my 90 (hopefully in the next week or two). So, anyway, currently for a 90 gallon I have -

1 gold Severum
1 Delhezi bichir
and 3 Senegal bichirs (one normal & two albino)
And one Florida/spotted gar. I know the gar will outgrow a 90, but I've been told that he should be able to stay in the 90 for quite a while, possibly even years. When he outgrows the 90 he'll probably be moved to an indoor pond.

So, for in a 90 gallon, what else can I fit in there? I've never stocked an aquarium with large fish before, only smaller tanks with mixtures of small fish. I'd really like to get a couple more severum, and would like to add a couple more bichirs, although I'm not sure which types I'll be able to get my hands on. How many more severum & bichirs could I put in? Any other fish you'd recommend for a stock list like this?

Thanks!

Minus the gar you have alot of room, with the gar you have to worry about it eating some fish. My gar even when small would grab fish way to large to eat. It would just grab them and try and eat them. I would be a little worried about the polys depending on their size.

The gar has been fine for several months. It's actually one of the more timid fish in the tank. I've seen my polys take guppies right out of the gar's mouth! I know I need to keep an eye on all of them, but so far everyone has been perfectly fine as a group. And the polys are all at least as thick around as the gar. The delhezi is the smallest, and it's just about the same thickness as the gar. The others are actually a bit bigger.

Get a nugget pleco, you won't be sorry.
