I've been doing some research and trying to figure out exactly what I want to put into my new tank.

The tank is 125 gallons, 72"x 18"x22"
Filtration will be an Aquaclear 110 and Eheim 2217.

List:
1x Orange Midas (M)
1x Barred Midas (F)
6x Clown Loaches
1x Giraffe Cat
6x Silver Dollars

I'm thinking I may need a pleco for algae control but not sure what type could be used. Any other fish think might be able to fit in this list?

I think your stocking list looks OK, your midas will attack the other fish if they deciede to breed but in a tank that size they will be able to get away, make sure to have a few caves for the loaches and cats to hide in. For plecos I would use some Bristle Noses, they do good with algae and don't get too big.

maybe even a royal pleco, they are pretty cool but you would have to have some dw in your tank

IMO don't count on a pleco for algae control, count on you being able to keep your tank algae free rather than thinking a fish will keep it that way.

Pending attitudes of your midas they might not get along. Some breeding pairs need dividers. I guess that's my only problem with it.

I was planning on having a large piece of driftwood as the centerpiece of the tank thinking it would break line of sight if aggression needed to be alleviated.

I don't know about the line of sight theory but all you can do is try it...

yeah seems good take the pleco out..

seems fine to me

but i would worry about your midas breeding!!

I was hoping they would breed. The orange male is 5 inches and has a large nuchal hump and I was hoping to start line breeding humpheaded barred midas, since I the barred males I had each did not develop a hump.
