at the bottom of this chart, well I didnt paste the chart but anyways, it shows 4.70ish a share,,,,,but it says 4.70ish x 16 thousand something. Do you always or can you always buy just 100 shares min, or is it 4.70ish x whatever, does that number mean something else?

Under the bid, and ask. Im used to a different type of chart.

Its the bid ask spread. It shows the market maker's price and size. I'm not good at explaining though so maybe google will be of more help, try looking up "bid ask spread."

yeah Ive researched a lot, just tryin to know how to tell if the company hase a limit to how many shares you can buy, some do, or some brokers do. So the x number after the share price is the spread then, hm.

The spread in that case is .01, its just the difference between the bid/ask price. The x# is the size of the market makers shares for sale at the price. A publicly traded stock like that has no minimum or maximum of shares you can buy. There is a finite number of shares of the stock available for public trading at all times. A trade is just the stock switching hands via broker/market makers. You could put an order in for 10 or 1000 or 10,000 shares and so on. The 10 or 100 share order would fill quickly. The 10k order would fill based on the liquidity of the stock and the volume, and may fill in a few blocks.

If you haven't already, look into how market makers work. I think that will help make more sense of it.
