this is my first large tank and have been very excited to get it. it comes on sunday.... fahaka puffer or jardini is what i am looking at .

i really would like either plus a few small real fast tankmates and i will have lots of plants...

which is better off (keep in mind i will not be upgrading)

or suggest something else??/

fahakas are always AWESOME!!!! but it'd be a challenge to put smaller fish in there even with lots of plants and such... so i guess that vote

fahaka would be your best bet, a jar would get to big for your 125. IMO.

well im thinkiing i need alot of clear open space b/c its a decent sized fish but in the corners and back have rocks/wood/plants so smaller fish such as loaches can hide.

and i have a feeling that tinfoil barbs could work with either. they are fast and too large to get easily killed but i need to see if they are plant eaters

If you went with a Fahaka, which I think is an awsome idea, I think you would have a better chance adding something smaller and faster than Tinfoil Barbs, like Giant Danios or Tetras.

how about something crazy like 50 tiger barbs
