Hey all. Recently tore down and restarted my 38 gal planted tank due to some hair algae I'm embarrassed to say I let go way too long (just got a new job and didn't have time around the holidays).

Right now I have a few guppies that I was saving to make feeders for my RTC, but he could eat all the fry, both parents, their parents, their parents' parents and still not be full, so I need to restock the tank.

I've had a LONG history with angels, the usual neon tetras, etc. But want something a little different. Liked the idea of discus, but don't have the money for adults and read that juvies should be kept in bare-bottom tanks. So I'm kinda stuck. I want something a little less "blah" than the usual angelfish and tetras. What do you guys think? YOU tell ME what I should put in there.

I know for sure I will get one or two of the rarer plecos... like a royal, or (the name escapes me) the grey w/ black spots (looks almost like a black and white negative photo of a gold nugget).

So I ask you all kindly... what do YOU think I should get?

Roseline Sharks

Danio choprai, or some of the new galaxy danios. both are recent additions to the hobby and are quite attractive, if you get them breeding you could easily make a profit selling the fry.

Those roselines look pretty cool... any photos of these new danios?

black rasboras and harquin rasboras. blue tetras. rainbows, red lipped barbs, tiger barbs, simease algea eaters, clown barbs, roseline sharks, apistogama hongshloi (red stripe dwarf cichlid)-these are very rare and if breed the fry will sell for good money-, loaches(exept clowns- to big), golden shark, angels, discus, cory cats, small plecos( scribble lines are cool), and theres alot more.
