Hey just stole a new 75 gallon setup for $40 off craigslist!

Looking to get some stocking ideas, thanks.

I have always been interested in discus, but have been discrouaged by people always saying there hard to keep. IS this true or just myth? As expensive as they are I would hate to lose them.

I wouldn't consider them difficult at all but they require more attention than most fish so you just have to attend to all their needs and you will be fine. I posted plenty of info here.:) If you have more questions, please feel free.

discus require high temp and clean water, and rather soft water.

gulpers, dats.....

Rosie Reds! Nah just kidding. I love CA/SAs. Pearsei/Bucourti/Hartwegi would be great.

Soft water, not necessarily. Discus has been bred in the trade for decades. They will adapt well to various water conditions if done properly. As always, get your stocks from your local breeders, not your LFS to guarantee healthy stocks.

Anybody know of any good breeders in the NY area?

Fill it with what ever you want , not what we want it stocked with !

If you give us some idea on what you like then we can help you on saying if they would be a good mix of fish and could fit in your tank .
