I am trying to decide how to stock 10 gal feeder/qt tank
Now that my main tank has fish besides the gourami used to cycle I would like to keep a cycled tank with a few colorful hardy fish preferably at lest one live bearer like a molly or guppy that can be used as feeders to use as a qt

most of the fish I might buy are apt to eat at lest some of anything in this tank so nothing to expensive

any suggestions would be appriciated

In the near future the most likley fish are baby poly such as a sen or dehlzi or one of the smaller spiny eels like a peacock eel once I get my larger tank I have no idea

Turn the 10 into a convict breeding factory and buy a 30 or 40 for quarantine. Once you get to the larger fish, a 10 gallon will be too small to be used to quarantine.

you can breed convicts in a ten gallon? how do you sex them?
Once I get the larger tank I plan to use my 20 growout for a qt and the 10 for a feeder.
Prior to my upgrade I won't add any thing other than another 3-5" baby small poly or a topwater.
So at the moment if i can't qt in a ten it cant live in my 20.
