Hows it going ladies and gents new to the site today. I have a 120 5ftx18"x24 high tank 2 penguin 350 biowheels 1 ac70 and a cascade 1000 canister. What I have is 2 oscars 3", 1 salvini 3" and a 3" convict I had a trio of clown loaches but the salvini and convict just abused them so I got rid of them. Am I pretty muched stocked with the 4 I have left or woul a school of 3 silver dollars be cool to add to the tank? I am not brand new to the fish thing but also not a pro tanks is established and water params are always in check!

Welcome to the site. There are a lot of nice, knowledgable people on this site.

If you were to add silver dollars, in my opnion, a school of five or more would be better. Some fish behave differently depending on the size of the school. A solo silver dollar would be stressed out about being alone. A larger school of silvers, you find, will be much more behavorly interesting then just three.

My 1 oscar got along fine with his tankmates just fine till he hit 1 year then went nuts, wouldnt let the silver dollars out of the corner took one eye out of one.Bit the pictus in half, tried to eat the pleco but gave up,in a 4x18 tank not a lot more "floorspace" in your tank.
