ok, so my monster tank is 8x4x2, my 225 stock will go in it, 1x Oscar, Archara cat, lap poly, Ornate poly, 7x Sd,a 5 in Jag female that I hope wont flip, as it has been raised with severums, fire mouth and mayan(red devil), I would like a few Pbass and 2x Atabapo pikes. 2-3x ehiem 2262 and big sponges for filtration . is that over stocked. I can live without Pike but been wanting bass for like 2 years.

ok my 225 will become my new severum tank. 4-5 severums, a chocolte cichilid, jack dempsey and 2x small blue gill growouts. Lima cat on bottom. 2x Fx6 and sponges. This is of course if fish get along.. Good ? bad?

In my opinion, the first tank you mentioned is fine with the additional fish. I dont know how big they are as you did not say, but I think that is a cool sounding stock and doable.

I have a similar setup to what you are thinking in your 225 but to a smaller degree in my 125. 1 Chocolate, 3 sevs & the JD (and a blue acara). The Chocolate fortunately runs the tank still. The JD is a little over the top for the sev's in aggression but they have all done great and held there own. No fatalities or major damage in the year I've had them together. The JD may take over from the Chocolate at some point as they are currently similarly sized and the JD is far more pushy but oddly he still cowers around the chocolate who is super mellow. I suspect given the additional space you have things should work well for you too. idk on your other setup, but best of luck.

thanks yall, the pike, she is about 8-9 inches and runs from a 6 in blue gill. so atm in my current tanks everyone is happy. with Cichilids though, we know that can change lol

There are as many definitions of "over stocked" as there are hobbyists! Imo if the fish are healthy, the water parameters good (0/0/<20), and the fish behavior natural, then you are fine. Of course, that can change with new growth, age and additions, because it's dynamic.
