I'm looking at getting myself an 8x4x2.5 (4ft front to back ). What stock would u guys suggest. Only definite is an Asian Arowana

If money not an issue to you than I would looking into Malaysia Xback Golden Blue Base or Super Red Xback blue base. There are many awesome variety color morph for Asian Arowana...It's only limited to each person pocket :P

I already have one .

I would go with about 4-5 fire eels, or a mix of fire eels and tire track eels. With a tank that size you can handle several of those and they tend to do well in groups that large.

I'll admit, I'm partial to those but I don't think you will be disappointed if you decide to go that route.

Also, if you get the eels, you can still stock some mid to high water fish because the fire eels are not aggressive as long as the fish don't fit in their mouths.

if your getting this made you can save a lot of money by going 24" tall instead of
30" since standard acrylic sheet size is 8x4 and by going 30" your adding another
sheet of acrylic for the extra height. i mean if you need to save and have a budget
or anything but if not just ignore me lol. as for stock since your already set on a
asian arowana the typical would be some high quality rays and asian arowanas
along with some other fish of choosing. typical stock usually chosen are asian
arowanas and rays with datnoids, kkp, fei fengs (flagtail) and etc. of course you
have the other favorites as well like bichirs, tiger fish, armatus & pbass.

It's an already built tank . Someone needs it gone . Glass so it's gonna be hard to move . I agree on Ray's and like tiger fish Goliath especially. Also a huge fan of large fire eels but some nice cats would be cool
