Stock suggestions for new 125G?

Hi Y'all. After my (craigslist bought) 120G broke and flooded my house , I ordered a NEW 125G today (diamond edge leemar aquarium) with custom stand. It should arrive next week.

I plan to move my:

7" Turquoise Severum
6" leporinus fasciatus
7" L114 pleco

from my 55G to my 125 once it is established and ready for fish.

In addition to those 3, I'm looking to add a few more to the new 125. What else do you guys think I should add to the 125??

The 125 will have an FX5 to begin with and I may add an EMPEROR 400 down the road. PFS for the substrate as well, with black background.

I know they can be a little aggressive, but why not throw a couple more severums into the mix? With that much space they should be fine together assuming you give them some good hiding spots. maybe a few clown loaches instead if your looking for a different species all together.

Me personally, I'd add one EBJD and then a couple schools of dithers. I like the Clown loach idea (but in a few years they might need more space). I love barbs as dithers, but there are plenty of tetras, silver dollars, hatchet fish, giant danios, etc. you could try as well. I just like a lot of movement personally.

any specifics of what you are looking for (color, personality, movement, low bio-load, etc.) may help get more suggestions. Did you just want to add one or two big guys or are you looking to fill it out with smaller fish?

I'm in on the EBJD idea and some giant danios. From what I hear the danios are very fast and really are not bad looking fish. Just give them some smaller places to run to if they are getting chased. I think the coloring of all the fish will go very well together and make for a good looking tank. The only other thing I would think about is something for the bottom. Batman made a good point about the clown loach size, but Some Botia Dario or small school of pictus cats could make for some nice movement along the bottom. The Botia Dario could look really cool with the leporinus. Best of luck and keep us updated.

A group of 4-5 geophagus topajos or iporangenseis will work well even with the ebjd.

Congrats on the 125g purchase..........I too have a 125g...The basic 6 foot long, the best..........I hjave a pair of Oscars and a pair of Green Severums in there..............As for the tank mentioned above, I would add one or two more Severums..........Try and leave the plecos out, these fiosh deserve their own smaller(55-75g tank) tank because you never really see them in the larger tanks to enjoy..............The Fx5 is ok for the tank, I would add 2 AC101's to the top for supreme mechanical filtration...........

2 Festivums (Mesonauta festivus), 1 Gymnogeophagus Brasiliensis, 1 Gymnogeophagus Yerbolito, 1 Thorichthys Pasiones.. 20 Columbian Tetras
Other than the Festivum and tetras, those generally tend to stay low in the water column and are mild mannered; Bonus: and are beautiful. Festivum aren't agile enough to catch or damage the dithers (tetras). I have six Columbian tetras and can't wait to build the school up to a larger one. Wish I had 20 of them cause they're like my fav tetras (for coloration). Probably throw in a Honduran Red Point for kicks to learn how that chemistry would pan out..
