what does everyone use for lids on their indoor ponds / stock tanks??

i am probably getting a 300g rubbermaid, or some sort of 6' diameter pond for my catfish and possibly my large aro
i'm not worried about evaporation, i just want to keep them IN the water

thanks

If nothing else, you could just use bird netting. Otherwise, build a 2x4 frame and cover it with clear Lexan sheets or clear plastic (the flexible kind) to keep the weight down and allow light in with the lid on.

I used polycarbonate (lexan) sheets with an aluminum frame on my rubbermaid 300. Don't use acrylic (plexiglass). It's brittle, it's very easy to crack, and warps much worse than lexan.
