Stock Tank Sump

How many here are using a stock tank for their sump? How do you like it?

I just picked up a 110 gallon stock tank. I ordered a Max-flow 2400, a bunch of filter socks, and 5 gallons of pond matrix. I'm looking forward to getting rid of my HOB and canister filters.

I use a 300G Rubbermaid stock tank and I love it, tons of room for DIY filters!

Dan - I like how you are using the buckets to hold the socks. I may try that.

They use half of a 6" PVC coupling attached to the bucket lids, which holds the sock nice and snug.
