Stocking-160g

Hey everyone I'm setting up my new 160g and need some advice on what would be compatible with the fish I have now. I really want a Lima Shovelnose Cat and a Jaguar cichlid but I know the Jags have a fierce rep. If the Jags not possible i was interested in getting a gar instead, just don't know what species to get.

Tankmates would be:
1 Venezuelan Pike Cichlid
1 Peacock bass
1 Senegal Bichir
1 Black crappie (I think)

A jag could be possible although It may conflict with the crappie since they are superficially smilier. May see it as a competitor.

Awesome, I've wanted to keep one for the longest time now. I figured those two might be a problem because of the similarity in color pattern. Crappie dont get too big though do they? I have a 60 gallon that he could be moved if theirs any conflict as long as e won't outgrow it.

Not sure about in captivity but the wild they get as big as jags.

Oh wow didn't think they got that big. This is definitely a crappie though right?

Well I guess I'll have to wait and see lol. Rock bass would be pretty sweet though.
