well, i've got a 180g tank in my back yard that i've been thinking of bringing in for the last 3 years and i've never stocked it permanently. so far i'm thinking (3)goldfish, (12)white clouds, (3)pepper loaches, (12) zebra danios since the LFS has them 6/$2, (?) green sunfish and possibly a couple madtoms would be cool.

oh yea, filtration will be provided by a 15g sump and a closed loop little giant pump for more flow. i'm thinking of throwing in about 5 giant danios as well and a ton of anachris. i think possibly 2 green sunfish, which when they get big enough to and if they start picking off the danios and white clouds then i will probably rehome.

:iagree:

Just one ton of anachris?!?!?Make it two...LOve these plants....

Goldfish, common or fancy???

I picture some 7-9 inch Giant Orandas...If you cannot find them where you at, we got em' in the City...Come on over to Frisco and test us out, we will not disappoint you....
Match these deals:
5 inch Orandas, Black Moors, Ryukins, Ryus for $6.99/2 for $10....

i'm more of a fan of the comet style goldfish. i may have to go check out san fransisco, i've got a friend in san jose who owes me a tour of a couple of the wholesalers and the area so i may be able to drag her over there and talk her into showing my around, that and in sept. we're planning a trip to the new steinhart aquarium.

Steinhart will open by the end of the year....I gaurantee I will be there...My mom's house is blocks away from the thing.....Suppose to have the largest indoor coral reef setup too....I am trying, but maybe I will get a chance to see how they transfer the piranha back....Wowee

have you been to the temp. facility? i was there about year ago and they were experiementing with the world's deepest artificially lit reef tank(18') i don't think it's going to be the worlds largest indoor reef(only 112,000g i'm sure theres a bigger one in japan or something) but i believe the deepest, i'll have to check out the website again.
