i would shoot for a 1 male/2 female oscar setup and augment your sd shoal to 12-15. then add a lima shovelnose.

edit: get bigger tank first though!
im working on it should get it in a month or 2 i would rather have 10 silvers and 4 oscars not a big fan of the shovel nose and exspensive how do i sex the oscars and what size u think i can

only surefire way is to vent them or observe them when theyre breeding. also two mature males usually wont tolerate each other when theres females present. other than that ive noticed that oscars will simply "look" more female and male, but thats hardly 100% accurate.

i think 4 Os and 10 sd would work well in that tank, but i would still find some kind of bottom feeder with a big appetite. oscars are among the messiest fish you can keep.

You think if I got a 240 I could do 4 oscars 10 silver dollars and 1 Lima catfish or fire eel

oh yeah thats plenty of room. i dont have much experience with eels so i cant speak for them. i do know that dedicated fire eel keepers keep them in very big tanks, usually 3'+ wide, but 2' tanks may be acceptable.

what will be your filtration setup? you gonna use that 60 for a sump?
