Swimming in a mountain river
Had a native 420gal rectangle planned. But I'm thinking the fish i picked won't work in a 6ftx6ftx20in square tank. Fish were: lrgmouth bass, pumpkinseed, channel cat, central stoneroller. I'm thinking bottom dwellers would b an appropriate choice. So I'm hoping channel cat(or other large catfish), and central stoneroller will still b ok. Can someone suggest some medium size fish to swim in mid-tank? The tank will also have 2 10in RES turtles, so small fish probably not the BEST option ;) Thanks

Maybe a school (5-6) of yellow perch, I've been wanting a tank of them but I don't have a big enough setup.

I'm being told that the native fish I've picked would still work in a tank of those dimensions. Opinions on that please? And black crappies were on my planned list too. I like the yellow perch idea. I don't want to stuff big fish in a tank thats too small or over populate my new tank. Though maybe I'm underestimating the size? Oh. Filtration will b 2 75gal sump, and fx5.

The stock you originally planned would work. There's enough room for the fish. Black crappie can also be added without a problem. Add a nice big stump in the middle and plant something like vals around it. That would look sweet imo

Adding a nice big piece of driftwood in the center(I'd LOVE a big stump), would b duel purpose turtle ramp/awesome center piece.

Give grass pickeral a thought? Keep us updated on this tank. Pics would be great as well
