you could pute pike cichlid,ebjd,dovii,convict,red devil,hecklei,jarupari,red terror,green terror,gramodes,chocolate cichlid,rainbow cichlid,how about peacock bass there fun fish. whatever you fish you choose good luck.
 
Well for a single species tank a lot of fresheater pipefishes would be nice.You could do an oddball tank.A dwarf cichlid tank would also be very cool.

Um no.

A realistic answer would be. Why not look at a medium size cichlid as yoru show piece and then add some dithers and such for some action.
 
it isn't a SA/CA cichlid, but a Paratilapia might be a nice option, very personable fish that can be a glassbanger without being particularly large

I like this answer I am quite fond of a few Madagascar cichlids.
 
I would have a pair of sajicas, a pair of severums, and a horde of bengal danios as dithers.
 
I recommend you go to a few lfs and bring a something to take notes on what you find appealing and then come here and ask about compatability, care, and peoples experiences with what you are interested in.
