Hey Everyone,

As I look into upgrading my 72 gallon to a 180 or possibly 240 I will be breaking down this tank. I wanted to sell my 72 for some cash towards my next upgrade however one of my cousins said he would want it and I dont want to sell it to him since he had came out of the army last year and has been very family commited lately always with us and especially helping us with the move to the new house...etc. So i decided to just give it to him.

This is the system:

72 gallon 48inch by 12-18inch by 25inch (Bow Shaped)

Current Stock:

11-3 inch geos (growing them out for next upgrade since I bought them as babies less then an inch)
1- 1 inch clown loach
5- 3 inch silver dollars
1- red tail shark

May look crowded but if i showed you a vid of the tank it looks empty lol, defintly have tons of room.

Filteration:

33 gallon sump with filter sock, pond matrix and return pump.
Also heater

So this is when the questions begin!

Since I would like these geos for the upgrade, can I put them in a 50 gallon Corner Tank for about a Month or two? Would just be the geos with a fluval fx5 (I know over kill but worth it!)?

The other fish will most likely eighter be sold or given to my cousin if he wants them...but if the tank was empty how would you stock it? He said he would like nice fish with lots of colors...and one or two fish bigger then the rest.

What water change procedure would you recommend for the listed fish, as well as feeding regime?

Any other tips will be greatly appreciated!

Ignore the water change question btw....

any ideas? Im looking through old post to see if I can find any threads as i do know thier has to be a bunch of "what to stock" lol

Should be fine.
