I have a 75 gallon driftwood dwarf sag kinda set up with 4 clown loaches, a green terror and an african featherfin catfish. My green terror is about to die of old age and am curious what I should get after he dies. I have a C-360 and Emperor 300 on the tank. Any suggestions would be great. Either a few of something like a family or a couple cichlids to one main showpiece. I just need ideas thanks.

just curious, but how do you know the GT is about to die of old age? How old is it?

Well im guessing age, but more then likely its his age causing his immune system to suck. He just won't eat anymore and he is sluggish. Probably has intestinal thing. I got a trimac hybrid for the 75 btw thanks for suggestions.

Sounds like you are just looking for somethng new. If it were me I would try and save that GT rather then let it die. There are plenty of meds that can easily cure him.

I wouldn't consider anything less than 7 years as close to old age, having said that I would treat him and try to save the fish before thinking about getting somthing else. Four clown loaches that grow to about a foot in a 75 is pushing it with out adding anything. I wasn't going to reply to this thread but it sounds like you needed some advice. If your interested in saving the GT let us know and will help you.

Haha I guess I should have been more detailed. I used 2 different types of meds to teat for parasites and stuff that I know GTs get. He had the white stringy poop and what not. Unfortunately he finally died this morning. I could not get him to eat for a month.

Damn, that sucks :\

I hate it when i loose a fish when you've had for a long time. It's like loosing a dog...
