Stocking a 20 gallon community tank

Hi I would like to start a community tank in my 20 gallon wich I thought was a 30 . I would like a betta no matter what, a few dithers, shrimp, some snail, maybe a gourami. Maybe a catfish instead of shrimps. Any ideas are appreciated. Diamensions are 60 47 51 cm only 66% full

You could do.
1 female betta
6 corys
15 of any small or medium size tetra
1 snail
Btw the tank is 37 gallons I believe not 20 based on the dimensions.

I like that Idea but I don't think all that would fit. Also how do you sex a betta

I don't know the dimensions are a bit iffy. It's 94 litres though if that helps

As it says 94 at the store but there a bit iffy as it has a built in filter at the back that takes up about 3 inches from back to front

In that case you could do 9 instead of 15 tetras and usually your lfs has the bettas separated and sexed already.
