Long story short, if everything goes right Ill be able to pickup a 240 gallon (8' x 2' x 2') and need opinons on what to put in there. Id like to keep 1 or 2 green texas (i have 4 juvies at the moment), maybe 1 or 2 salvinis and the rest im open to whatever can hold their own. The tank will be decorated with pool filter sand, driftwood, lots of pvc pipes for caves/tunnels and maybe a few amazon swords if they dont get destroyed.

I'd do some of the more mellow new world cichlids, ebjd, oscars, Severums, Texas, green terror, and then maybe some of the lower jaw Polys, endli, PBB, lap, etc.

Big tanks demand big fish! Give your Texas cichlids a head start then add some Black Belts, Dempseys, and maybe one each of some of the larger C.A. species just to cut down on the chance of them wrecking havoc by spawning latter on.
