Hi all i have a 300 liter (65 UK gallon, 75 US gallon) Tank. I wanted to keep Delhezis , how many can i keep and i don't have the room or money for an upgrade in tank size. The footprint is 121 x 48 x 60 Any help would be appreciated , as there are conflicting views on tank sizes for the Polypterus. Thank you all. :)

If it's a standard 75 you could keep any of the UJ except for ornates, weeksii, and teugelsi. I would say 3-4 would be ideal but with good filtration and care you could probably add a couple more in there

would there be any tankmates in the 75g? and what sizes do you mean by small?

Nope , it will be a species only tank, not sure... my LFS is very unreliable with the incoming deliveries of fish, they had 6 12cm Delhezis in about 2 months ago. So more likely 12cm, which would be too big is a group of 2-3 for a 25 gal i suppose

The only think I would watch is make sure they are able to find food. If they are struggling to find food in the 75 then I'd move them to the 25
