Stocking a 40 gallon HELP

I need stocking ideas/lists for a 40 gal I plan on adding java fern or diff plants if you guys can help me on those too. I want tetras and Platys but idk how much. I want other fish too and maybe some other critters. Please help!!!

If I were you id pick up a convict pair... If not, in a 40 gallon you can have about 20 platy or guppy in there. COMFORTABLY

I don't want aggressive fish either I have a tank for those, I want a wide variety of fish too but thanks for the scale.

yeah you can literally have two or 3 big schools (like over 10 or 15) of different types of tetras in there

A nice school of the x-rays, lamps, bleeding heart, cardinal, etc, each

Personally I think that a giant school of Cardinal Tetras would look great.

This is what I got so far
3 Platys ( male to female ratio)
3 guppies ( male to female ratio)
A school of 10 tetras (Idk what kind yet)
Kuhli Loaches (not sure how much I should get plz reply)
1-2 bristle nose plecos
Reply on what you think and if I can add some bigger individual fish! (gouramis, tropical fish ect)
