stocking a 55 and 20 gallon tank

In the past week i came across 2 tanks. One 55 gallon long and a 30 gallon long. So many fish out there not to sure what i want to stock in them. I already have my Bolivian community in a 55g and my gourima tank in a 30g.
Looking for some suggestion on some fish to stock in each tank. I love to hear which fish to stock in each tank!!! Any info will be greatful!!! thx

Hmmm..What species are the gouramis in your 30g? I am so biased here but the Bolivian rams can be moved to the 30g and we can use the 55g for your new fancy goldfish. I'll be willing to help any further about goldies if you want them. If not, get some kuhli loaches or Yasuhikotakia sidthimunki for both tanks to add fun and excitement there. Loaches tend to gather the attention of most guests and they usually will be entertained by the fish's antics.

1 Opaline, 3 Blue, Rainbow shark and a snail in the 30g.

In the 55g i have 6 Bolivian rams, a dojo loach, a pleco and a snail, surrounded by alto live plants.


Lol goldfish huh... ill keep them in mind but I'm not one for goldies...lol i had my fair share of them when i was growing up.

as for loaches, there many different species i wouldn't mind raising but as i have mention earlier, i have a new (at least to me) 55 and 30g. so now my tank stock is 2 55g, 2 30g and a 1 10g tank.

thought about stocking the 55g with an ebjd and the 30g with convicts. but not to sure yet. like to here some of the tank stocking for these 2 sizes.

Cool thx for the suggestion. I thought about the electric blue jack dempsey. but still not to sure..lol i know there more out there then jd or flowerhorns

a friend of mine has convict comm in 55 long. ITs a great tank to watch. The original fish are all pushing 6inchs which is kind of huge for cons in a 'small' tank. I wouldnt recommend a 30 for them seems to me would cause toooo much aggresion. I used my 30 to grow out some juvy africans for my 55. Now i let my girl friend pick for that tank. I'd say make the 30 a w/d for the 55 and go salt.

hhmmm just wondering whats the biggest monster fish i can set up in a 55?
