I am about to pick up a 55 gallon aquarium and am thinking of stocking it with Africans. I am new to the africans. I was thinking of tanganyikans. Preferable shell dwellers. I would like it if the fish can stay in the tank for life. If you can give me a couple of species that I can check out and water parmeters they need that would help out a bundle. Thanks in Advanced.

P.S.I am open to other types of Africans if you think they will fit in the tank better.

55 --> Put your SA cichlids in it :grinyes::thumbsup:

They gotta be cramped in the 29...what do you have in there?

You can then do shellies in that 29 instead

I don't think I'll put the South Americans in there. There are only like 2 3" Firemouths in there. I might put in a a couple of Convicts to breed in the 29gal.

Shellies sound good....
