So i have a new 55 gallon tank and havent decided what to do with it stocking wise. I like the big mean cichlids. I would like to have a few biggies. I dont plan on keeping them in there for life, and they take a long time to grow so i want to do a few biggies. Looking for suggestions...

Id say Green Terror

Is there any way to tell the difference between male and female green terrors? and do you know the growth rate for them? thanks...

jaguar cichlids :) they will need a transport guaranteed though .

Maybe 1 jaguar. i want to do a couple biggies. i know this isn't a tank for the long run, lol

They would kill red devil, texas, green terror, etc?

i'd go w/ a Festae (red terror). I've kept many tank busters but festae's by far are still my favorite today. besides their personality nothing beats a full grown pair of festae's in breeding color. you'll have to upgrade to a 100 gallon or bigger in the future as the males can get pretty big. my pair are doing fine in my 100 gallon as of right now.

Mumtron: Today at the LFS i saw a red terror about 2.5-3". It wasn't very colorfull though.
