hey my brother just bought this tank and he needs ideas what to stock it with , so lets start hearing themView attachment 711321

I would suggest two pairs of a smaller easily bred/paired cichlid....can grow a group out and get two pairs, then let the 4 have the tank together, and easily divide them if one starts to breed. Not to sure of anything else, kind of strange dimensions haha! Whatever you choose, has to be smart enough to go through the gap.

Hey I wanted that tank...but too far...glad you guys got it.

Personally I was gonna use it for breeding. I'll have it filled like the pic above or put 2 big rocks with enough room for a smaller female to escape through. Or have it as a fry growout (fun to see a school of fish swim through)

Good Job guys.

African cichlids be nice and colorful.

by the way after i sold my tank to your bro i bought the 180g on craigs for 225

yeah idk we need ideas i like what you guys are saying i was thinking , of a bunch of holey rock with alot of african cichlids on 1 side, and small breeding pair of fish on the other, but my bother wants a festae pair u think he could have that , i doubt it but idk

i was thinking honduran red/blue points, a severum or 2, 2 Dicrossus maculatus, and some geos llike balzani, and 1 Ivanacara adoketa, and 1 silver arowana (jk on the arow lol)

I had that same tank about 8years ago, I had Africans in there. it's a perfect tank for African cichlids! If your a fan of them? Or if your breeding use it for a grow-out tank? Festae's will NOT be happy in that lil tank! GL

africans are nice but we want to stay away from them i think it would look perfect with texas holey rock and stuff but we are thinking a small sa/ca sand and driftwood/plants tank
