here's what i am thinking for my 55g after i move the Oscars to a bigger tank:

2 Angel fish
4 Killifish ( 3 Golden Wonder, 1 Unknown)
6 Cories ( 3 Spotted, 3 Peppered)
2 Otto cats
2 German Blue Rams
8 Orange Von Rio Tetras
1 Gold Nugget Pleco

I was also going to add 8 neons, 1 Bamboo Shrimp, and maybe the bumble cat that gets about 4inches or so, Petsmart has them now. If i dont do neons i think i will go with like 12 Von Rios, maybe get 4 of a different kind to add so difference in the school. Also thinking about 2 Gold Rams. Let me know what you guys think, everything that is in the list i already have and will be going in the tank just need a few more fish to make it a sweet planted tank!

GREAT MIX

sounds like its gonna be a cool tank. post pis when u get it up and running

I'd be concerned about the Ottos.. They don't really do well unless they have a constant supply of algae to chow on, and the Gold Nugget will create a problem with them.. They also do better in larger groups, and 2 will likely stress out.

The gold rams will probably get bullied by the German Rams, because If I remember correctly, the germans get a little larger. You might never see the gold rams because they will be in hiding most of the time.

Agreed the Bumbebee cat will eat alot of that stuff.. I wouldn't try the Neons either, as the Angels will eventually get big enough to eat them too. I would say up your school of Von Rios, and with the Corydoras choose one species or the other, they would appreciate that. :)

You might have space later on to add some oddballs or another fancy pleco.

Good Mix though ;) Larger schools will make a better effect too, btw.

thanks guys, i was worried about that Bumble bee cat getting to big, i think i will leave the Neons in the 10g and then i will get some more Von Rios for the school. More INPUT guys, love hearing it!

What about a bamboo/ marble shrimp? I think they are really cool looking and the way they eat is freakin awesome. Plus at Petsmart there tag says 1 in, but we get them at like 2 in. HAHAHA Anyway what you fellas think?
