I'm getting a 65g friday. I've always been a fan of Sharks, and more exotic fish, but I'm not looking for a tank with 1 fish in it. I'm somewhat interested in Discus, but a bit concerned about the difficulty of caring for them. (I just got my 30g first tank setup about a week ago).

I'm going to pickup an eheim 2215, and I got a 300w heater coming with the tank. I've also picked up a piece of driftwood, but I may stick that in my current 30g depending on how big it is (I've got it with the tank, coming friday).

Please suggest a stocking list. Also, I'm open to running a somewhat planted tank, but nothing that needs special lighting, or any sort of Co2 setup (I only got this tank really cheap, and I'm just looking to do a cheaper setup with it, that said, I don't mind spending on fish). Also, let me know if you think I should be getting an air stone (its only a few bucks, considering I have an extra air pump sitting here, so if it would be at all beneficial, let me know).

Also, I'm not sure if I'll be getting a hood/lid with the tank, so please do let me know if the fish you suggest are jumpers.

Thanks!

If you want one fish i would go with a red wolf fish. U may like the peaceful fish but his fish will give you alot of fun

Actually, I like quite the opposite. I think my favorite fish is an arrowana, I just already have a cichlid tank so I was thinking of something a bit more busy. But.... these wolf fish are really cool now that I see them. Is a 65g really big enough for them, I mean, they look REALLY big.

get it of kijiji ?
Nope, your from toronto (at least in your location), so maybe your familiar with the site, gtaaquaria.com

I posted a thread looking for a smaller tank and got offered this one at a really good price.

Not sure if the seller also posted it on kijiji.

Anyways, any thoughts on stocking?

Yahh i know gtaaqua

Id say EBJD but they probably are the biggest pain in the ass in all aqua hobby.

Wolfs get boring fast. Leopard Bushfish, just got 6 of them and they are fun little predators. They more hover around then swim.

What makes the EBJD a pain in the ass? I was looking at some pbass but they all seem to outgrow this tank, are there any that don't?

Pbass will out grow it for sure. And big tanks are damn expensive here, its not like the states pick up a 300gall for $200. We get screwed on prices. So while you could get some and grow them out in your tank eventually you'd have to spend some serious cash or get rid of them.

EBJD get sick and die easy are expensive and quality ebjds are rare.
